In the 6th century BC, Nebuchadnezzar II, King of Babylon, wished to honor his young wife, Amytis of Media, by offering her magnificent gardens with countless fragrant flowers. He therefore called upon the most respected architects of his kingdom to test their ingenuity and realize his project of creating one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
